Temple Beth Shalom of the West Valley, a Reform Jewish synagogue, is welcoming Jews from Surprise, the Sun Cities, El Mirage, Glendale, Peoria and other West Valley communities who are not affiliated with another congregation, to participate in its High Holy Days services.

Cost to attend all services will be $200 per person, and tickets are required for all events. Reservations can be made by calling the Temple office at 623-977-3240. The High Holy Days services will be conducted by Rabbi Dana Evan Kaplan and Cantor Baruch Koritan at Temple Beth Shalom of the West Valley, 12202 N. 101st Ave.

Visit tbsaz.org for the High Holy Days schedule. Rosh Hashanah starts Sept. 15 and commemorates the creation of the world and marks the beginning of the Days of Awe, a 10-day period of introspection and repentance that culminates Sept. 25 in the Yom Kippur holiday, also known as the Day of Atonement.

The Temple Beth Shalom Sisterhood is hosting a Break the Fast at about 6:15 p.m. Sept. 25. Call 623-977-3240 to make reservations by Sept. 20. Cost is $18 per person with no charge for children 12 and younger.
